About

Lee

Born into a musical family, Lee began piano lessons at the age of five with Elizabeth Zug, a pupil of Alberto Jonás. At fourteen, he attended The Manhattan School of Music in New York City and continued his studies as a piano performance major at Berklee College of Music in Boston and The Mannes School of Music in New York City.

He studied privately with Josef Raieff at The Juilliard School and with Grace Castagnetta, a pupil of Josef Hofmann.

Lee has performed and recorded extensively in a wide variety of styles and settings.

Finding Your Practice Room: Waterloo

Lessons take place at 51 The Cut, Waterloo, London SE1 8LF. It’s a straightforward location to get to, especially if you’re travelling through Waterloo, Southwark or Waterloo East.

The practice rooms are close to The Old Vic and just a short walk from Lower Marsh, so it’s a convenient spot if you’re coming from work, university or another part of Central London.

Nearby stations include:

  • Waterloo Station: around 3 to 5 minutes’ walk

  • Southwark Station: around 4 to 6 minutes’ walk

  • Lambeth North Station: around 8 to 10 minutes’ walk

  • Blackfriars Station: around 12 to 14 minutes’ walk

Once you arrive, you’ll have a quiet room where you can settle in properly and focus on the lesson without feeling rushed.
